Record Number of Women Running for Congress in Texas

It’s happening all over the country. Women are running for political office in record numbers in 2018!

Texas has more than 50 women candidates running for Congress. They’re from all walks of life with fascinating stories to tell. Like Judy Canales, a Latina running in the 23rd district.

On the encouragement of friends, Canales is ready. She tells ABC News senior congressional correspondent, Mary Bruce, “I’m good. I’ve got to go for it.”


600,000 Attended Women’s March LA

The Women’s March Los Angeles returned to Downtown Los Angeles today for the 2nd annual event, drawing an incredible turnout of over 600,000 attendees. The powerful lineup of activists and stars included Elizabeth Banks, Chloe Bennet, Rowan Blanchard, Connie Britton, Yvette Nicole Brown, Sophia Bush, Ted Danson, Viola Davis, Lea DeLaria, Zoey Deutch, Tony Goldwyn, Sarah Hyland, Paris Jackson, Allison Janney, Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Eva Longoria, Megan Mullally, Olivia Munn, Lupita Nyong’o, Natalie Portman, Rob Reiner, Nicole Richie, Catt Sadler, Adam Scott, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Steenburgen, Lea Thompson, Marisa Tomei, Olivia Wilde, Larry Wilmore, Alfre Woodard, and Constance Wu, and performers Idina Menzel, Andra Day, Rachel Platten, Daya, Maxwell, Andy Grammer, Keala Settle, and The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles with Melissa Etheridge.
